ABOUT US Meridian International Institute for Capacity Building is a Voluntary, apolitical, non profit making development organization with Authorization number 21/AR/E.26/A2/SALPA/PS/118.Founded in 2002 with Mr. Peter Ayukea who is the present C.E.O, it was a Common Initiative group and was later registered as an N.G.O in 2010. Meridian International Institutes for Capacity Building has as objectives: To promote the education of the under privilege; To promote health related services to the underprivileged communities; To educate the population and promote environmental friendly activities; To protect and promote the right of vulnerable and delinquent people; To facilitates Access to portable drinking water in rural communities; To promote agriculture and fight against social ills. Through our systematic method of planning, designing, implementation and evaluation, our educational program assist youths to increase self knowledge, be self employed, gain opportunities for career exploitation,increase in marketable goods and agricultural in and outputs,reduction in illiteracy rate, engaging in community developmental projects and thus help to provide the potential for a well-informed workforce, with high moral, ethical and professional skills. We ensure that the impact of our program is greatly felt and that it benefits each youth as an individual,our community, the country and the world as a whole. WHAT WE DO We offer vocational/ professional education to vulnerable youths in our various schools. We organize workshops and training on issues such as sustainable development, leadership, environmental change, entrepreneurship, health and other issues especially those aimed at developing the socioeconomic capacity of youths and community development. We initiate and support projects that can be beneficial to youths, community and the aging population. We Promote volunteerism within and without Cameroon to help develop our communities. We act as youth’s advocates thus providing scholarship to vulnerable youths. We also provide assistance to the needy. We provide quality touristic information to our tourists. WHERE AND HOW WE WORK Presently, we have three Professional/Vocational schools located in mile 55 Wai Nkar in Jakiri sub Division, level Mbah in Kumbo Sub Division and in Kovifem in Nkum Sub Division. All these schools are found in Bui Division in the North West Region of Cameroon. Currently we have 150 vulnerable trainees in all these three schools for this academic year 2013/2014.However, we encourage other local/international organizations,individuals and volunteers around the world with good faith to net-work with our organization in assisting us to move forward with the educational project for the benefit of youths and that of the community. LOOKING FORWARD Meridian International Institute For Capacity Building is a hospitable organization that do not discriminate no matter your race, sex,origin and physical fitness. We have been operating in several Villages of Bui with difference developmental projects which has assisted many people. Furthermore, we have done a lot as far as educating the youths and vocational training is concern. With the help of our Vocational centers, We have been able to train 50 youths for the passed years who are now self employed. Presently we have 150 vulnerable youths who are undergoing their training in our centers . We offer: Wood work,Building Costrution, Electricity,Home Economics, Secretariat Duty, Computer Science,Business Studies and Health Science. We plead on men of Good Will to join us in combating this pandemic of illiteracy and delinquency in our youths and the community at large. Together, lets make our dreams realistic. Our Vision To enhance professionalism and take it as an assiduity in promoting vulnerable youths to be self employed thus building a Nation where every vulnerable person will have a say and contribution to the World`s National Income. By so doing, they will be job creators and not job seekers. This will help in reducing poverty, unemployment rate, reduction in crime wave and encouraging development.
