Welcome to the exciting beginning of Travel Green Zimbabwe, a visionary initiative spearheaded by Mr. Victor Muntanga, Zimbabwe's BRICS forum ambassador. This project, in close association with the Tourism 2030 online platform, aims to revolutionize the way we see, experience, and sustain green tourism in Africa, using Zimbabwe as a shining example.

Here’s what's unfolding:

  1. Digital Transformation: We are digitizing the green tourism offerings of the BRICS countries, with a special focus on Africa, starting with Zimbabwe. This pioneering effort seeks to put Zimbabwe at the forefront of sustainable travel.
  2. Global Promotion: Our aim is to elevate the Travel Green Africa/Zimbabwe BRICS offer on the international stage, making it a beacon for eco-conscious travelers worldwide.
  3. Olympics and Beyond: We are committed to promoting sustainability through peace and sport, particularly during the Paris '24 Olympic Games Summer Truce. Our efforts will spotlight Sustainable Development Goal 16 among the African BRICS countries, extending to the inaugural BRICS Games in September.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

The startup phase, over the next six months, will develop essential services for:

  • Mapping Sustainability: Position your business on the Travel Green Zimbabwe Sustainability Maps. Support the Travel Green Planet Mapping System to showcase and enhance our sustainable tourism practices.
  • Learning and Certification: Engage with international best practices through the Tourism 2030 Sustainability Best Practice Browser. Discover what certifications will integrate your offerings into the Travel Green BRICS marketplace via the Tourism Sustainability Certification Quickfinder.
  • SME Sustainability Check: Assess your readiness for independent certification with our SME Sustainability Check. This is your first step toward qualifying for inclusion in the global marketplace.
