<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The development of the new Standard builds directly on the work of the GSTC Roundtable for Micro and Small Enterprises Certification (R4MSEC) and the findings and recommendations presented in the <a href="https://www.gstc.org/wp-content/uploads/R4MSEC-Final-Report-1.pdf"><strong>first R4MSEC Roundtable Report</strong></a>, published by GSTC in February 2026. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Rather than creating an entirely new sustainability framework from scratch, the MSE Standards are being developed as sub-standards derived from the <a href="https://www.gstc.org/gstc-criteria/gstc-hotel-standard/">GSTC Hotel Standard</a> and the <a href="https://www.gstc.org/gstc-criteria/gstc-tour-operator-standard/">GSTC Tour Operator Standard</a>. …</span></p>
