Finalist, Conservation Award

The Bushcamp Company operates six exclusive tented camps in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. By partnering effectively with local conservation NGOs, it has been successful in strengthening anti-poaching patrols and surveillance, as well as contributing to wildlife research and monitoring. Through its raising of funds to purchase a light aircraft, anti-poaching monitoring flights has dramatically increased in the vast park, carried out in partnership with park authorises and conservation groups. In addition, Bushcamp focuses on improving the livelihoods of local communities as an effective means of building grassroots support for protecting wildlife in one of Africa’s most remote protected areas.
