Visitors can follow an 80 km-long wine route, highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of the region. This way, local businesses, gastronomy, wine producers and associated partners intend to promote their products and their region. A quality label “Welcome to the Jura Wine Route” has also been set up. The Wine Route has become the biggest and most successful wine festival in France and therefore got awarded as a “European Tourist Destination of Excellence in Intangible Heritage” in 2008 (project European Destinations of Excellence EDEN).
