Charming villages amongst the pines or amid vineyards and orchards. Preserved typical folk architecture and Byzantine churches and monasteries. The villages are embedded by the Troodos mountains rising up to almost 2000 metres aboe sea level. Winner of the "Best Emerging European Rural Destinations of Excellence" Award 2007 (project European Destinations of Excellence EDEN).
