The Soča valley is located in the east of the Julian Alps in north-west Slovenia. An integral part of the Soča valley is Slovenia's only national park, Triglav, one of the oldest in Europe. Many legends haunting about in the air give the valley a fairy-tale atmosphere. Winner of the “2008 European Tourist Destination of Excellence in Intangible Heritage” Award (project European Destinations of Excellence EDEN).
