Project Management for Sustainable Tourism is a specialised certification scheme for Project Managers working in the tourism sector. It is the first methodology and qualification certifying the capacity of designing and managing tourism projects successfully. The methodology provides skills and techniques to implement and run effectively projects committed to sustainability. The scheme is aligned with PRINCE2, the existing internationally recognized project management standard and includes components specific to sustainable tourism policies and practices. PM4SD® consists of two qualifcations: Foundation, that provides the basis of the methodology, and Practitioner that deepens some aspects of the methodology translating theory into practice. PM4SD® is also certified by APMG, a world leading examination institute that accredits training and consulting organisations.
