Knowledge Networking Portal for Sustainable & Responsible Tourism
our annual conference, the Europe’s Wilderness Days. Our conference is the oldest event focused on Europe’s wilderness protection and proved to be a very successful way to network with professionals focused on wilderness.
Please save the following date in your calendar: 26-28 September 2012.
The location will be Nagu, Finland. The event will be co-hosted by the Archipelago National Park.
The best way to get to Nagu is taking a flight or ferry to Turku. If you have to fly to Finland you can consider the following airports:
• Turku: the closest airport
• Helsinki: regular railway and bus connection to Turku
• Stockholm: ferry connection to Turku
• Tampere: bus connection to Turku
This year we are going to focus on how to engage wider constituencies in wilderness protection. We will look at the role of protected areas, NGOs and the tourism sector in engaging the public and professionals in protecting Europe’s wilderness.
Please see the draft programme on the following link:

We are still negotiating with speakers! If you have an interesting topic to be presented in, please contact Zoltan Kun at zkun@panparks.org to propose a presentation.
The final programme and further logistics about the hotel and booking will be announced by end of April.
